MacGregor Advisory Group is a Melbourne-based boutique advisory firm specialising in complex energy transition and carbon market challenges. They work with senior stakeholders across industries to deliver strategic, commercial, and operational insights in a rapidly evolving sector.  

They asked us to design and develop their company website. The website needed to reflect both the sophistication of their work and the clarity of their thinking—while establishing credibility with high-level decision-makers.

MacGregor Advisory Group operates in a highly technical and emerging space, where credibility and clarity are critical.

The existing challenge wasn’t just about aesthetics, but also translating complexity into confidence.

Key challenges included:

  • Communicating highly technical energy transition and carbon market expertise in a clear, digestible way
  • Establishing trust with senior executives and boards
  • Differentiating from generic consulting firms
  • Creating a premium, understated brand presence aligned with their positioning

We approached the project with a focus on clarity, authority, and restraint—avoiding unnecessary complexity while elevating perception.

1. Strategic positioning through design

We developed a minimal, high-contrast design system that reinforces MacGregor’s positioning as a focused, expert advisory firm. The design intentionally avoids noise, allowing the content and messaging to lead.

2. Simplifying complex messaging

We worked to distil their services into clear, structured narratives, making it easy for users to quickly understand what they do, who they help, and how they create value.

3. Building trust through structure and tone

The site architecture and content hierarchy were designed to guide users logically, from high-level positioning through to specific capabilities, mirroring how senior decision-makers evaluate advisory partners.

4. Designing for credibility, not conversion gimmicks

Rather than relying on typical marketing tactics, the site focuses on authority and professionalism, aligning with how high-value consulting relationships are actually formed.
